If you have a lot of algae in the pool it will not climb the sides of the pool, it will simply slide down. You put the unit into the pool and there are two options for cleaning, a full cycle and a “quick clean. ” You use the cycle dependent upon how dirty the pool is. This unit cleans very easily and it really works great. The leakfinder guy we hired to find the leak said this is commonplace with a lot of pool vacuums.
