" I have read where you pinch off the top of plants when the bottom turns brown and replant the tops. When a forum member recently posted a plant question, it sparked a great discussion that is worth reading if you keep live plants. Do you then pull up the old part and toss it. The reason I ask is that the older leaves on my wisteria that were covered with algae are beginning to die. Another question, when you trim off dead or overgrown plants, do you use regular scissors or something else.
