PVC pipe if you have or you could use a stick Y, which looks exactly like the Y and to put in between it. you can find a stick in the woods and just put it in the ground.

I’ve never been happy with the flimsy effort that came with the trident – coupled with the fact that I couldn’t find a suitable place to mount a forward rod holder when I saw this was available I decided to get one. It’s a nice sturdy piece of kit with plenty of scope for attaching rod holders and other accessories. Its very rigid and the seal looks excellent so as well as having useful features, I will feel more at ease that it wont let in too much water in the event of a capsize....
