Try throwing a medium-sized baitfish pattern (I always start with a Clouser or Half-n-Half - white and chartreuse), allow the fly to sink then retrieve with a quick strip strip strip.  As your fly and line sinks, count the seconds before you begin the retrieve.  If the water is less than six feet deep, keep your floating line on, and lengthen your leader slightly.  In deeper water, a sinktip or sinking head line may be in order.  Varying the speed and abruptness of your retrieve can show how the fish are biting that day.  Pike can be triggered by speed over distance, much like a barracuda, but more often it's the stop-start, jerky, wounded baitfish retrieve that draws strikes.
